Hi,
Could you please help me to comprehend the meaning of the following sentences:
How can I catch up on the news for the last two weeks?
Let's catch up with some judicial news.
Catch up on some reading.
Thank you very much in advance!

Katya,
I think that all three sentences mean about the same. That is,
I have been on vacation for two weeks. Just traveling around the
my country. I have
not paid any attention to the news. Neither
have I spent any time in reading. Now that I am home, I need to
catch up. = make up for lost time. There are two weeks' worth of
newspapers on the table. I'll catch up on the news by going through
all those papers and see what I have missed. And I will finally finish
reading that novel that I started two weeks ago.

"Catch up" can also be used in this sense:
Country X is a developing country. It is working very hard to catch
up with the developed countries. That is, it is trying to reach the
standards of living that exist in the developed countries.

"Catch up" can also be used in this sense:
Tom and Martha are walking to the store.
Tom: I'm tired.
Martha: OK. Let's sit down here.
Tom: No need for you to wait. Continue to walk. I will just
sit here for a minute, and then I will catch up to you.
That is, I will hurry up and be at your side again.
