    I can really pick'em

    Hi

Does the phrase: I can really pick'em have got one standard meaning?

For example, a certain guy I think regrets that he is where he is.

He thinks to himself: I could have landed in any town in the country. And it had to be here. Damn, I can really pick 'em.

Is it possible to figure out what this phrase at the end means? I suppose his angry?

    Thanks

It is a way of saying he has bad luck, as if he had the power to choose bad towns. Of course it was just bad luck that the town was bad for him, he could not have known beforehand.
