    Tenses:

Can anybody tell me what tense these sentences are? I am confused between present perfect and past simple.

'I wanted to be a doctor until I was fifteen'.
'I did not learn much in that job'.

    Thank you

    Most certainly Simple Past.

The Present Perfect requires the 'have' + Past Participle structure, e.g.:

'I have learned a lot for the last two years.'

    All the best,
