    sure going to be. would sure be

    We can say that "There's sure going to be a lot of guests at the wdding ceremony." I was wondering, if we could say something like "There would sure be a great party, if more people came." Can we use it with the "would" thing?

    The reason I'm asking is that I recall an extract from the lyrics of a song that went like " If I could, I surely would..."?

    I think I'd switch your word order in your sample sentence. There sure are going to be...

    But your others sound fine.
    It sure would be great if you came!
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

    It's not grammatically accurate? We would throw in "sure" in conversation not in writing?
