...with $ 1 million being at hand because his number matches 10 number in the lottery

    Dear all,

    Is this sentence correct ?

My teacher feels happy, with $ 1 million being at hand because his number matches 10 number in the lottery.

    Is ''with'' optional ?
If the word ''with '' is deleted , does the sentence makes sense grammatically ?

    Many thanks

It's not a very natural sentence and the exact meaning is not clear. What do you mean by "...his number matches 10 number..."

in my country, the number one winner lottery must guess the 10 numbers in one row correctly in order to win $ 1 million

In UK if 6 numbers matches, he will win, receiving most money

OK, in that case it's correct like this: "My teacher feels happy, with $ 1 million being at hand because his numbers matched the 10 numbers in the lottery." It's still not very natural though, I would say something like this: "My teacher feels happy, because his numbers matched the 10 numbers in the lottery and he won a million dollars."
