    Default Looking For a word......

    im looking for a name given to a word with no variant.

    for example "dead" as one can only be dead, not very dead or a lot dead etc.. another example would be "excellent" as you are either excellent or not, there is no in between!!!!
    if anyone can help id be very gratefull, as this question has been stumping a few of us for a while

    I think they are called absolutes. They are non gradable adjectives that can be occasionally graded for emphasis or funny sayings like: it's deader than a door nail.

    yea i found that.... but im pretty sure there is one word.... a long word.... similiar (ish) to hyperbole or something like!!!
    ..........or did i dream this ???
