    Default what's the meaning of " appeal to one's reason"?

    dear teachers,
    I can not look it up in the dictionary. in dictionaries, there are only "appeal to someone."

    If you appeal to someone`s reason, you ask them to behave in a way that you think is logical, and not to let theor feelings get in the way.
