Dear teachers,

Would you explain to me the usage of –ing and Inf.- forms in the following sentences?

1. Don’t forget shutting the windows when you leave home.
2. Don’t forget to shut the window when you leave home, it is vey windy to-day.

3. I don’t like interrupting people.
4. I don’t like to interrupt him, he seems vey busy.

1. Don’t forget shutting the windows when you leave home. Do not forget that you have shut the doors, that you have not left them open. Keep in mind the moment when you have shut the windows.
2. Don’t forget to shut the window when you leave home, it is vey windy to-day. Do not leave the windows open.

3. I don’t like interrupting people. -- I do not draw pleasure from this practice.
4. I don’t like to interrupt him, he seems vey busy. -- I would rather not interrupt him.
