    wrecked up

    Teachers...

What's the meaning of 'wrecked up'?

but I'm a loser in love so baby raise a glass to mend all the broken hearts of all my wrecked up friends..

Does it mean people who rarely get drunk? or does it mean people who often drink, intoxicated/addicted people?

    Many thanks

    Re: wrecked up

It doesn't say anything about their drinking habits. I've hever met the expression 'wrecked up', but I imagine in this case the friends are just made useless by having their hearts broken. (Many may have turned to drink, but this line of the song doesn't give any clues either way.) The image is of a wrecked ship that is still visible above the water, wrecked and thrown up on some rocks.
