    trauma/ordeal

    Hi teachers,

    I really want to learn the difference between these two words,there are not enough examples in my dictionary to help me fully understand the usage. Could u kindly explain and show me some usage examples? I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

    In popular use, 'trauma' is a medical term-- it is applied to either physical or mental shock. An 'ordeal'-- a difficult experience-- may well lead to trauma.
