    Hi there,

    Is it correct to say:
    It's going on lunch.

    It would be an acceptable, casual phrase - a colloquialism , I guess, in a context such as:
    "I thought you had five pounds in your pocket?"
    "Yes, I do, but it's going on lunch"

    Is that the sort of thing you are trying to say?

    In AmE when it is nearly 12 O'Clock, you can say "It's going on 12."

    I suppose if it is just about time to eat lunch, you could say "It's going on lunch." It would probably be understood.
