Default Here is one last URGENT request! Much apologies for asking..

A kid from school wrote in a letter to a pen-friend:

We had been mailing to each other for several times after your leaving to America. However, we had lost contact after you had become busy with your examinations. Not long after, I lost your address and did not hear from you either.

Would anyone be able to correct the above confusing passage? A billion thanks for helping! URGENT T_T

We had mailed each other several times after you left for America. However, we lost touch because you were so busy with your exams. Not long after that, I lost your address and could not contact you, and didn't hear from you either.

That last clause seems to want an I. Other than that, that's perfect.

You can mail a letter to somebody, but if you "lose" the letter you should also "lose" the to.

There is no need to apologize for asking us questions. That's what we live for.

    :)
