Giving a proper name to our new Foundation we need help

We have established a new foundation in Turkey about MEvlana.

DŁnya Mevlana Vakfı in Turkish. We translated 'World Mevlana Foundation' first but a friend said it is wrong. The World Foundation of Mevlana is better they said. Which one is better?

And also the long version of the name is 'World Mevlana Health Educational and Cultural Foundation.' Is that correct? Please help as soon as possible...

I do not know what Mevlana means. Having said that, I will try to answer your question. Both your original version and the long version are correct. In the long version you should add a comma after Health. It is possible that your friend's suggestion is also correct, but not necessarily better; it depends on the meaning of Mevlana.

Thank you for your quick response. Mevlana who is also known as Rumi, is a mystic of Islam who lived in 13th century. His doctrine advocates unlimited tolerance, positive reasoning, goodness, charity and awareness through love. To him and to his disciples all religions are more or less truth. Looking with the same eye on Muslim, Jew and Christian alike, his peaceful and tolerant teaching has appealed to men of all sects and creeds.

Glad to hear that the first translation was correct.

Thank you for the explanation, Sufi. I will now say that I prefer either of your versions for the name of the Foundation. The version suggested by your friend is a bit awkward. Welcome to the Forum.

I agree- don't use the version your friend suggested.
