    Default Monopoly

Does one have a monopoly "on" or "over" something? I think both prepositions are correct.

    Thanks!

'Over' sounds a little unnatural to me. 'On' and 'over' are both fine, as is 'in'.

I have never heard/read "over" or "in" used in that way.

I don't like 'over', but many uses are recorded, and 'in' appears to be pretty common: Corpus of Contemporary American English (COCA)
