Default absolute clause or finite clause

Are the underlined absolute clauses or just normal finite clauses?
    1. The meeting finished, I went back home.

    2. The play finished, I went back home.

    3. The play/meeting over, I went back home.

Will you regard the "finished" in 1. & 2. as the past participle or the past tense form?

The comma tells me they are not finite clauses. Remove the comma and insert 'and', and you've got a finite clause.

    • The meeting finished and I went back home.
