I have heard that the difference between "demonstration on" and "demonstration of" is as follows:
1. Demonstration of: This means specific information will be provided during the demonstration. For instance, everything about how to work a washing machine.
2. Demonstration on: This means a generic information will be provided during the demonstration. For instance, about the working of washing machines at large.
Is this correct? Or is the difference something else? If yes, then what is that difference.
