    Cool nobody answers

    Hello!

Is the use of the present simple correct here?

-I'm trying to call him but nobody answers.

Should it : nobody is answering?

    Thank you

    W

Yes, use the -ing form with "I am trying ."
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
