    It was fully a moment...

    Is this a correct sentence, especially the word "fully" in it : "It was fully a moment before she realized that the train had gone, and there wouldn't be another for three hours."

    Hi ph,

    Although I am not a native, the following would sound more natural to me:

    "It was a full (=whole, entire) moment before..."

    But, as I said, I'll be waiting answers from native speakers

    The trouble with this sentence is that moment is an indeterminate length of time.

    You need to specify the exact time:

    'It was fully a minute before...' or better: 'It was a full minute before...'
