    Default Consultation

    "We offer consultations/counselling worldwide."

Is there a difference between "consultations" and "counselling" in the above sentence? Does "consulations" refer to the actual meetings one has or to the giving of advice by someone? Or both?

    Thanks!

I'm trying to translate a sentence about a company that offers consulting services. I'll go with "counselling," but I was wondering if "consultations" would also work.

I'd use "consultations", "counselling" sounds like something a psychotherapist would offer.

    How about this sentence?

"It is our goal to lead you to success though individual consultation, motivation and inspiration."

It sounds fine to me, but I tend to think of "consultation" from the perspective of the person seeking advice.

I didn't realize this before, but "consult" is a contronym: it has two opposite meanings. It can mean to seek or give advice.
