    dress...

    Hi...

    1. He dressed well.
    2. He dressed in black suit. -> He was dressed in black suit.

    I don't know the reason why the first sentence is right and the second isn't.

    I guess you second sentence is wrong because it should be wear
    He wore a black suit
    I don't know the opinoin of native speakers but I think I'm right (Ihopeso)

    The second should be 'He was dressed in a black suit', though 'wore' would be more natural. We don't use 'dress' in the active for 'wear', but for putting on clothers or the overall appearance, as in the first sentence. You dress a child or dress well, but don't dress a black suit.
