    the chance to happen is very slim but still possible

    impossible
    definately not possible, the chance to happen is zero

    mostly likely
    the chance to happen is very high

    possible
    it may happen

    You have the right idea.
    * You need to add 'it is', because otherwise you're saying 'the chance is possible'.
