Post 'ten years from now' or 'in ten years'?

    Dear friends,

'Are there going to be many satellites in space ten years from now?'

Is it appropriate to change this sentence to '...in ten years?' and still mean the same thing?

    Thank you!

Sorry, I've got confused. Does the phrase 'ten years form now' mean, for example, this year is 2011, then 'ten years from now' refers to the period of 2011 to 2021?

No, "ten years from now" refers to 2021.

That would be 'ten years [this is a noun], starting from now' - or, if you want to use a prepsitional phrase, 'throughout the coming decade'.

Cool Re: 'ten years from now' or 'in ten years'?

Is there a difference between "in ten years" and "in ten years' time"?

    Thank you
