    Exclamation pasive form of verb

    Please verify that the following passive forms of the verb are correct.
    1shaw could not switch on the lights. May be the electricity was cut off.
    2. The bicycle was lying on its side. Perhaps it was blown over by the wind.
    3. The children could not find their puppy. Perhaps it was frighten by the storm and was hiding.
    4. There was glass all over the drawing room floor. May be the window panes were broken.
    5. The front door could not open easily. Perhaps it was blocked by something.

    1-- 'maybe' is one word. 'Shaw' is capitalized
    3-- 'frightened'
    4-- 'maybe'. 'Had been broken' makes better sense, but 'were broken' is possible-- in this case, though, it is more likely an adjective than a passive formation.

    All else is OK.
