    Default a quick check

    dear friends and teacher

am quite blur about this issue:-

    a.Does she HAVE a job?
    or
    b. Does she HAS a job?

which one is correct? as far as i concern, 1st verb will have the changing yet the second should remain BASE verb..so in that context, which one is correct? Can i barely accept that HAVE is the base for HAS?if yes, then A is the answer?

    Thanks

A is correct. "To have" conjugates as I have, you have, he/she has, we have, they have.

    JDCap,

    (1) This is one of the most frequent mistakes made by learners.

    (2) Your students need to simply memorize this rule:

One ALWAYS uses the base form after do/does/did:

    Does she have a job?

He does not have a job.

She did not eat breakfast yesterday.

Did he write a letter last week?

Does it snow in your city?

One also uses the base form after so-called "modal verbs":

    She must study more.

    Can he speak French?

    He should read more newspapers.

    She will become very rich.

    It may rain tomorrow.

She could not visit Paris last summer.
