    Default make do

    Dear teachers,

As we've run out of beef, we will have to make do with pork for dinner.

Could you please kindly explain the meaning of "make do"? I can't find it in my dictionary.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
    Thank you in advance.

    Jiang

    jiang.
Here, "make do" means to work with what's available, to get by in the situation as it is.
