    *not a teacher

Both of those have their uses, it depends on the application. You can put them both into a search engine and read the definitions. You can also give an example sentence if you like.

Have you looked up "fixation" in a dictionary, Will?

I can't figure out which one I'm supposed to use in this case:

"There are several fixing/fixation points on the car seat".

    Can you help me?

    Thank you

    Hi Will,

How about just this: Seat belt - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Maybe it's all a bit easier than you thought. Or maybe I'm just (quoting from a grudge around here) exactly wrong

    Greetings,
