Hi..

All is well that ends well is an idiom that originates from Shakespeares..

Can we convert it into past tense form=> All was well and ended well

so that we can use it as a conclusion in a story for primary level essay writing?

The conclusion goes like this: We were glad that all was well and ended well.

Original:All is well that ends well
Concerted:All was well and ended well.

Is it appropriate that
1) i have changed the is to was
2) i have changed the that to and

??

Thanks..!! :)

You can write "All was well and ended well". But it means something different.

"All's well that ends well" means that if the outcome is good, then everything is good (the problems we had along the way don't matter).

If my flight to Europe involved my seat neighbour spilling hot coffee on me, some annoying kid behind me crying for hours, my luggage being lost by AirCanada , etc... but when I finally got to Europe I had awesome time, then all's well that ends well.

That meaning is lost in your "conversion".
