    Default gambling man

If I call somebody a "gambling man" does that imply necessarily that he is a professional gambler?
Could that expression not be used for someone who gambles from time to time?

You're right. It doesn't imply that he is a professional gambler.

It doesn't have to involve actual gambling for money. It could be used just for a person who takes risks in his life.
