I HOPE MY POST IS IN THE RIGHT PLACE. AS THE TITLE SUGGESTS, MY POST IS ABOUT READING COMPREHENSION.
NAMES OF REFERENCES ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT.
- WHAT IS READING COMPREHENSION?
- WHAT ARE ITS SKILLS, AND STRATEGIES?
- WHAT ARE THE LEVELS OR CATEGORIES IN WHITCH THESE SKILLS COLLAPSED?
In my opinion, as the name suggests, reading comprehension means to be able to read the given text appropriately and be able to comprehend and understand as well. Every reading comprehension should have a set of questions ,and answering them correctly would be one of the criteria to decide if the reader has been able to comprehend the given text correctly.
The main skills would be the developing age appropriate vocabulary. Before a student starts with reading comprehension he/she should be familiar with the vocabulary used in it. Students should be able to connect the sentences together to be able to comprehend. It is important to have picture clues and meanings of difficult words in the given comprehension.
