    Which of the following is correct?

    1.Everybody's hair was messy.

    2.Everybody's hair were messy.

    3.Everybody's hairs were messy.

    Number one. Hair is a singular noun and an uncountable noun as well. It's one of those funny little nouns where singular (hair) is larger than the plural (hairs). So if you are talking about volume you say "hair" but individually they are hairs, like nose hairs, ear hairs, toe hairs, etc.
