i am new in this site.

im sorry for my english ..its very easy because i started learn it about 2 mounth ago...

pleas i need a book talk about the semantic changes in the english language...types of semantic changes....theories of semantic changes........causes of semantic changes..

and thank you sooooooooooo muuuuuuuutch.

Hi,

If you give me your e-mail adress, I can send you some handouts which explain ( in a very accessible way, I believe) various types of semantic change and what triggers it. I guess it's a good thing to start with, since as you say yourself, you're a beginner and reading some serious "scientific stuff" may be quite a challenge for you;)

Still, if you are really interested in some books , here are two I can recommend :



The logical-rhetorical classification of semantic changes / Raphael Sappan.


Semantic change in English : a study of evaluative developments in the domain of humans / Grzegorz A. Kleparski.
