    "Is his neighborhood filled with blue-collar people, drugs addicts or intelligentsia?"

    Could I use this sentence in conversations?

    You could if you want to. It doesn't sound very natural to me though.

    Also, in my milieu at least, "intelligentsia" as applied to the intellectuals today has a somewhat derogatory meaning to it.
