I've read this book titled Junie B. Jones by Barbara Park.

You might have read or heard of it.

By the way, there are hundreds of expressions in the book like these ;

After that I showed Dr. Smiley my wiggling tooth.
"Losing baby teeth is exciting, isn't it?" she asked.
"Yes," I said. "Except for I don't like the part where you cry and spit blood."

He jumped way high in the air. Except for he didn't fly.

Are they right sentences??

As I know, "except for" is used before a noun (group).

PLEASE let me know~~

I am not an English teacher, but my son reads the Junie B Jones books. No, these sentences are not grammatically correct. In the book, Junie B Jones is a first grader, so I suppose she is still learning proper grammar.

Thank you for your quick answer.

Here's another question.

Is it okay if I replace "for" with "that" ?

Except (that) I don't like the part where you cry and spit blood.

Except (that) he didn't fly.

If not, could you possibly rewrite those sentences into proper ones?

"That" is better than "for", but I think the sentences are better without either:

Except I don't like the part where you cry and spit blood.

Except he didn't fly.

I still have a confusion about these sentences.

(1) Except I don't like the part where you cry and spit blood.
(2) Except he didn't fly.

(3) ~ except I don't like the part where you cry and spit blood.
(4) He jumped way high in the air except he didn't fly.

It seems like (3) and (4) are grammatically correct....

Questions :

Aren't there any grammatical errors in (1),(2)?

Do you usually use (1),(2) in speaking and writing??

Thanks in advance~~

Agreed. They are incorrect, but authors use incorrect speech in internal monologues and dialogue all the time.

You are correct, I should not have called them "sentences". #1 and #2 are actually dependent clauses and are not grammatically correct on their own.
