    Pronouncing "beat" past tense

    How do I pronounce the verb "beat" (past tense). For example I beat him.

    The past tense form is pronounced the same way as the present tense form. "beat" as in "seat:

    Present: [bi:t] We always beat their team.
    Past: [bi:t] We beat them last week.
