    Default noncitizen = extraterrestrial being?

    Hi,

It is a metaphorical story in which a noncitizen is thought to descend from another universe, but has grown on Earth to live as a person among humans, and he attempts to find his home and his origin.

    1.
Can I use the word noncitizen instead of extraterrestrial being in the idea above?

    2.
'...to live as a person among humans...' - does it sound natural? any better word to replace 'person'?

    3.
Should I add the word who or which in '... but has grown on Earth...' to become '... but who has grown on Earth...'

    4.
Any other grammatical mistakes in that sentence please let me know.

    Many thanks.

"Alien" is the word used for extraterrestrial beings of this sort. "Space alien" is another wording, to be clear.

"Alien" is also used to describe non-citizens, but the two terms are not interchangeable when discussing men from space.

You could add a "who" to the sentence, but it is not necessary.

I think your sentence tries to incorporate too many concepts in different tenses. You could write it like this:
It is a metaphorical story in which an alien, thought to have descended from another universe, grows up on Earth to live as a person among humans, and he attempts to find his home and his origin.
