Can you actually call it a cup? Isn't it more like a lid or a top?

Can you actually call it a cup? Isn't it more like a lid or a top?

It could mean that after you take off the lid, you're to turn the cup over onto a plate and slowly lift the cup, leaving the dessert on the plate.
