    which is correct

    1. When I was in school, my teachers used to call me as “radio” because I loved talking to others.

Could you please tell me why I cannot say love talking?

2.To improve my English, I start listening to AM radio and television programs.

In the above sentence why I cannot say “I started listening to AM radio and television programs.”

Please help me out on this and tell me which area of the grammar I have to refer.

    Re: which is correct

Please note that Love talking would have been a better thread title.

Could you please tell me why I cannot say love talking? You can - if you still love talking.

2.To improve my English, I start listening to AM radio and television programs. This sentence is wrong.

In the above sentence why can't I say “I started listening to AM radio and television programs.” You can say that; in fact you should say that.

Please help me out on this and tell me which area of the grammar I have to refer. Verb tenses.
