    My question is : would native speakers widely prefer the second version?

    I do; Australians would. I'd guess the answer is yes.

    I might use the second version, as might others of my generation (old). Most speakers of BrE would say, "Have you got ..?"; some would say, "Do you have..?"

    Oh, yes. "Have you got ..." is even more common.
