Default will be able to read / can read your handwriting

The handwriting on the envelope is illegible. I wonder whether the postman will be able/can read your handwriting.

    Can either verb be used?

    Thanks.

In this particular example, will be able to is appropriate. The speaker is clearly speaking about a future ability.

    Hi Fivejedjon

Sorry for leaving out 'to', and thanks for spotting the error. And many thanks for your help.
