    Default Tense of verb to use when starting question with "would"

    1) Would you mind if I took Rosy home after the party?

    OR

    2) Would you mind if I take Rosy home after the party?


    Which of the above is correct, please?

    #1 is correct. In #2 you could say "Do you mind if I take..."
