    Default skiing and snowboarding

    Dear all,

In the field of skiing and snowboarding, What is the meaning of this sentence:

[He manages to get good snow throughout this run and it will pay-off with the judges, who look closely at choice of line as one of their criteria.]

I can't understand the highlighted parts!

    Thanks.

You need somebody who knows about those sports. I could only give you a literal meaning, and I don't think that would help you to understand what is meant.

Can you kindly explaing to me "How do they (choose) lines" and how judged? It will make a big difference in my understanding to the whole episode.

    Thanks a lot.
