Default Sorrow without an end is wrong

    Hi,

Should I add 'a' in front of sorrow and joy?

Sorrow without an end is wrong; joy without a stop is ignorant.

A sorrow without an end is wrong; a joy without a stop is ignorant.

    Sounds odd to me...

    Thanks.

I would probably say "sorrow without end."

"Without stop" doesn't work for me at all. It's just not natural.

I would want to say "unending joy," nut you've already used "end" in the sentence. Maybe "perpetual joy."
