According to the following, do unversities and many successful consulting firms want to make some sales relationship with their alumni or clients? What kind of actual relationship would they like with alumni and clients?
ex)We know that people don't stay in one job forever, nor should they. Companies do fail, sometimes because of bad management and sometimes because the marketplace isn't buying, but that doesn't matter. The point is that fostering collaboration is so crucial to the success of teams, companies, and communities today that every significant relationship should be treated as if it'll last a lifetime-as if it will be important to the success in the future. Universities and many successful consulting firms trade on this attitude in their treatment of alumni and clients. Everyone of them is viewed as a potential source of good will and good business. They begin with the assumption that in the future they'll be interacting with the person in some way. As a result, the whole society is better served.
