    about culture

    Hello, everybody!!!
I want to teach my students about some holidays in another countries.
Actually, in The USA and UK. Although I know some of them, I need to know if in these countries or in some of them people celebrate a party dedicated to Saint John. Here in my country, catholics celebrate it in the same time that in the past people celebrated an old party pagan about summer solstice in december. However, actually, here they celebrate it in June, when we are in winter.
I hope that you can understand my question.
    Thanks

    Re: about culture

I am not aware of any St. John's day here in the US, and I am Catholic.

St. Patrick's day is celebrated as a reason to go out and party/drink.
