    Default copy down ...

If you see any mistakes in the following sentences, can I have your comments?

( teacher to students)( after giving out handtous)

I forgot to write down where this material comes from. I'd like you to copy down the interenet address or source I am writing on the chalkboard at the bottom of your handout.

You'll hear that often. Apart from the typos, It's fine, but it would be a little clearer if the teacher said:

    Write down/copy down/take down = to write/copy (usually using a pen/pencil and on paper)

I forgot to write down where this material comes from. I'm writing the relevant internet address and source on the blackboard. Please copy them down.
