    Question low, high, small, big

    Hello everybody,

What way of saying the numbers is the correct way of saying?

    5 is smaller than 6
    5 is lower than 6
    5 is less than 6

    4 is bigger than 3
    4 is greater than 3
    4 is higher than 3

Another thing is: How can you say this in English? I have a nephew and trying to learn the numbers. He usually tries to count the numbers by starting from 11-12-13..etc and I said:

    - Start with the lower numbers? (I meant like 1-2-3-4..etc)
Is that a right way to say or should I say...

    - Start with the smaller number?

    Thanks you..

    Re: low, high, small, big

I would say the best way is to say 5 is less than 6 and 4 is greater than 3.

That's how the mathematical signs < and > are spoken.

I would tell your nephew to start at number one if that's what you want him to do, though if he's fluent in one to ten there's no need to start at the beginning every time.

Yes, we can. Probably in the same way you would say it in Dutch, I imagine:

grote getallen, kleine aantallen, hoge aantallen, lage aantallen
