    heavy debt.

    Tom owes May a lot of money that he has to borrow money from others to clear the heavy debt.

    Any mistakes found on the above sentence including this question?

    Try this:

    Tom owes May such a lot of money that he has to borrow money from others to clear the heavy debt.
