    Default ESL Training

I am interested in becoming an ESL teacher and have found that there are several routes to choose from. I am not very familiar with the field and would appreciate any advice as to the most effective and/or internationaly recognized programs. I am a university student working on my English degree. Is it best to have a degree or an ESL teaching certification? Please share any thoughts you might have. Thank you

I can only speak for the places that I know, but here in the UK, you'd generally need both. The same is true for much of Europe.
