    chart - pull out

    Dear all,

    In this sentence:

"Well overall Amokachi made 34 League appearances for the Toffees, scoring ten times but his chart is well limited as strikers pulled right out and Duncan Ferguson became firmly established"

that was about the footballer Daniel Amokatchi.

1- What is the meaning of "his chart is well limited"?

2- what does it mean for the strikers to pull out?

The structure is very difficult, really.

    Thanks a lot

    Re: chart - pull out

I think it means that he didn't get to play very often as other strikers were the established choices for the team.

(I don't follow football and it may mean something different to someone who understands the game properly)

I do follow football but find it difficult to understand these quotes you are asking us about, maiabulela.

Where are you getting them from? They are not typical phrases used by British sports writers.

There are from programmes on anew sport channel called " Trace TV"... Sometimes the commentator speaks and sometimes the players saying some slang.

And people here in this forum are really so helpful and understanding. I'm really so grateful.

    Right. I get it now.

Trace TV appears to be a French channel, so some phrases are losing something in translation.

Try a British football website, like this one:
