    How to correct?

In the sentence :"Eightteeth-century Shaker craftpeople departed other furniture makers by designing furniture that lacked elaborate ornamentation.", there is error with characters in Bold, but I don't know why and how to correct it?

    Re: How to correct?

    1. "Eighteenth-century Shaker craftsmen/craftworkers differentiated themselves from other furniture makers by designing furniture that lacked elaborate ornamentation."

    2. "Eighteenth-century Shaker craftmens/craftworkers departed from the tradition of other furniture makers by designing furniture that lacked elaborate ornamentation."
